It's a nice ad, it's well shot and well put together. It's part of the new style of Boots advertising which is a huge improvement on the tosh they used to pump out, and I quite enjoyed it. Congratulations again to those young hipsters in Hoxton, who have given tired old Boots a long overdue, and much needed boot up the backside.

It can't have been easy, dealing with a store with a rather muddled product offer that runs from lipstick through chicken caesar sarnies to pile cream and all points in between, but in general they've made a good job of it.

The only problem with this ad is that I am so old I can remember the original version. It was for a Scandinavian airline sometime in the 80s, and instead of a bird getting into her bikini it featured a fat bloke getting ready for a bit of nookie. He strips off and pops a rose in his gob before leaping into the living room to find his wife sitting with her parents - big surprise. The sign off was something about being careful because the airline was offering special deals for the over 60s, and it was as sweet as a nut.

Also being Scandinavian he was stark bollock naked, and it was a bit raunchy, so it makes this contemporary offering from Boots seem a little coy by comparison. Still, I don't wish to rain on your parade, and keep up the good work.
